Jacques Chirac announced on television yesterday its intention to promulgate as soon as possible the law on equal opportunities, but suspend its application time to amend Article 8 introducing the CPE. The president would indeed reduce the trial period to one year instead of 2 and force employers to disclose the reason for termination during the probationary period, unlike provided that originally laid the law on equal opportunities.
