Today I receive email from regional jury telling me that I have a scholarship ... So I will go again with Zellllllidja! : D
My second trip, I go to Gabon, from 13 July to 1 September 2008. I will study the relationship between people and trees!
These different peoples can be pygmies living in the forest, people initiated at bwiti (a religion which considers the elements of nature, including trees, sacred), children, old, parents, everyone. .. Not to mention the Deaf! ^ ^
And what they think of deforestation ...

Why trees?
Just as with my trip to India, I saw for the first time how the trees are so beautiful! I have not forgotten along the late afternoon, when I was on the train to the southwest of India, to contemplate the landscape ... All green, lots of thousands of palm trees ... I watched as the vehicles travel, houses, a few people, a woman washing clothes, children playing, dogs running, walking a cow ...
I'm staying on the train, I'm just watching them ... Like trees that merely looking at them, and be radiated by the sun!
And for the first time, I want to be a tree! Immboile, quiet, in peace, to watch! (I think to be able to see trees like that, you really need an empty mind, without stress, without thinking, not being totally in peace!)
So, I am shocked to think of the tree cutters, how could they cut down trees without defenses?
Here, I want to go to Gabon to discover the values of trees, and how everyone see them!
Gabon is a country filled with very forest, and it suits me!

I have a few contacts ...
I found on internet a deaf man, Bertrand, living in France, he is originally from Gabon. I submitted their Gabon's friends ... This should go to the city Libreville (where I landed!)
Other cities, I found some contacts through Facebook , which are currently not on. Like many other contacts found in other sites.
A traveler who has been well explained in Gabon me what Gabon, and who to contact to meet pygmies, I found it on voyageforum .
As two people living in Gabon, one is a pygmy, he seems willing to help me but I must have a visa first ... I have the impression that he prefers to talk then, not much to talk for nothing:) And another who seems to know about the world of Bwiti, I have the impression that he agrees to help me but for him it is better if we first see. It's like to avoid talking about nothing much:)
So I wait, I'm starting to have the visa!

That ... Meanwhile I wish you an excellent preparation for your next trip!

Thanks for having me Zellidja allowed to learn to travel alone, and trust me again!
